Wallpapers & screensaver

The screensaver is an ambient overlay that appears when you’re idle. It can live on the new tab, cover every new tab until you interact, or cover any page. Turn it on in Settings → Screensaver.

When it appears

After idle - choose the idle delay (30 seconds to 30 minutes, or never; default 10 minutes).
On new tab - optionally open every new tab already covered, dismissed by a gesture.
All pages - show it over any website, not just the new tab.

It dismisses on the gestures you choose (mouse move, key press, click, or scroll) and can pause any playing media while it’s up.

Image sources

Topics - curated Unsplash photos from topics like nature, architecture, travel, animals, food, minimal, space, ocean, mountains, city, and art.
Favorites - photos you’ve saved.
Custom uploads - your own images (up to 6, automatically downscaled to WebP for storage).
Mixed - combine favorites, uploads, and topics.
Solid color - a plain background.

Look & motion

Rotation every 10 seconds to 5 minutes (or off).
Transitions: fade, blur, zoom, or slide.
Blur (0 to 40px) and dim (0 to 80%) so overlay text stays readable.

Overlays

Toggle any of these on top of the wallpaper: clock, date, weather, a time-aware greeting, your current focus task (pulled from the Tasks tool), prayer times, and the photo credit.

Limits

All plans get every screensaver mode (topics, favorites, custom, mixed, color) and full rotation control. Custom uploads are capped at 6 images because they’re stored locally in the browser.
