For Researchers
Follow the question. Keep the sources.
A promising source leads to five more. Keep that trail together, switch research topics without mixing them up, and return to the material that matters.
Compare the methods before drawing a conclusion from the results.

Keep context as your research branches out
Separate the reading you are doing now from sources worth keeping for later.
Park a line of inquiry
Save a window of related papers, datasets and supporting pages as one session. Restore the whole set when you return to that question, or open an individual source when that is all you need.
Organize research sessionsUse a narrow session name, such as Mobility: survey methods. Broad labels like Research become difficult to scan.
Keep lasting references in bookmarks
Use bookmark folders for material you expect to revisit across sessions. Search your bookmarks when you need a reference without reopening every tab from an earlier reading session.
Browse bookmark toolsKeep your citation manager as the record for citations. Browser organization helps you get back to the source; it does not verify the evidence.
Recover a page you did not save
Search your browsing history for a previously visited page, including when you only remember part of its title. InTab's history tools give you another route back to a source that slipped out of your tab bar.
Find pages in your historyOnce you recover a useful source, bookmark it or add it to the relevant session so the same search is not needed twice.
Make room for the next question
Keep one research thread per session and give your sources a place to return to.
