Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the InTab Chrome extension, the website at intab.io, and any related services (together, the “Service”), provided by Zoy (“we”, “us”, “our”). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service.

1. The Service

InTab is a Chrome (and Chromium-compatible) browser extension that replaces the new-tab page with a productivity workspace and adds features like AI-assisted text actions, tab sessions, screenshots, YouTube summaries, focus tools, and image optimization. Use of the Service is offered free of charge for the core features listed on the homepage, subject to daily usage limits, with an optional paid Pro plan that unlocks higher usage limits, additional AI features, and cross-device sync of your full account settings.

2. Your account (only if you sign up)

Most of InTab works without an account. If you choose to create one to use Pro features, you must provide a valid email address (or sign in with Google). You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure and for activity that happens under your account.

You may close your account at any time from intab.io → Settings → Account → Delete account. We’ll remove server-side data within 30 days.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service in a way that violates any applicable law or regulation.
• Attempt to access, probe, or compromise our infrastructure, or any account that isn’t yours.
• Use automated systems to send abusive volumes of requests to our endpoints (rate limits apply).
• Resell, sublicense, or relabel the extension as your own product.
• Use the AI features to generate content that is illegal, infringing, or harmful to others.
• Reverse-engineer the paid Pro features for commercial competing use.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

4. Third-party services

InTab integrates with third-party services that have their own terms:

• The chat side panel sends requests to ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, and Perplexity using your own browser session at each provider. Your interactions with those providers are governed by their terms.
• Built-in AI features go through our backend (powered by Groq and ElevenLabs). Their terms apply to the processing of those requests.
• YouTube summaries and transcripts are generated from the video’s own publicly-served transcript (fetched directly, or via privacy-preserving proxies when needed). YouTube’s terms apply to that content; we don’t store the copyrighted video.
• Account features rely on Cloudflare for hosting and storage; Paddle for payments; AWS SES for email.

We are not responsible for third-party service outages, terms changes, or content.

5. Paid plans (Pro)

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. When you buy a Pro subscription your purchase contract is with Paddle, and Paddle’s Buyer Terms also apply to that order.

Subscriptions & trials. Pro is a recurring subscription that auto-renews until cancelled - monthly ($12/month, after a 1-day free trial) or yearly ($99/year, after a 3-day free trial). Prices exclude VAT/sales tax, which Paddle adds at checkout based on your location. Your card is charged $0 during the trial; unless you cancel before the trial ends, the plan renews automatically at the price shown, and again at the end of each billing period after that. We remind you inside the extension before your first charge.

Cancelling. You can cancel any time from your account page (Settings → Account → Plan) - cancellation is handled in the app and takes effect immediately: billing stops, Pro features turn off right away, and any time left on the current billing period is forfeited. If you’re within 14 days of a first payment, request a refund instead (below) and you’ll get that payment back in full. You can also freeze a subscription at $0/month instead of cancelling, keep everything saved, and resume later with one click.

Refunds. Refunds and returns are processed by Paddle, our Merchant of Record. We offer a 14-day, no-questions-asked refund on the first payment of a new subscription (including the first charge after a trial): email help@intab.io from the address you paid with, or contact Paddle directly at paddle.net. Renewal charges after the first billing period are refundable at our and Paddle’s discretion, or where your local consumer-protection law requires. Refunds may be declined where there is evidence of fraud or refund abuse. If you initiate a chargeback or payment dispute, your account and Pro access may be suspended while the dispute is reviewed.

Price changes: We may change prices for new subscribers at any time; existing subscribers will be notified at least 30 days before a price change and will have the option to cancel before it takes effect.

6. Intellectual property

InTab’s name, logo, and Chrome Web Store listing are our trademarks. The extension’s source code and design are © Zoy. You may not copy, repackage, or distribute them without written permission.

Content you create using the Service (notes, highlights, tab sessions, AI prompts) belongs to you. We claim no ownership of your content; we use it only to provide the Service.

7. Privacy

Your privacy is described in detail in our Privacy Policy. In short: we do not collect your browsing history, page content, URLs, or anything you type. Optional analytics are turned off in one click.

8. Warranty disclaimer

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do our best to keep it working and to ship updates regularly, but we make no warranties - express or implied - that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for any particular purpose. Your use of the Service is at your own risk.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will Zoy, its officers, employees, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues - even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total cumulative liability arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the past 12 months or (b) US $50.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Zoy harmless from any claim, demand, or damages (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Service.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if we reasonably believe you’ve violated these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time; uninstalling the extension and deleting your account removes everything from your end.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We’ll post the updated version here with a new “Last updated” date. Material changes will be announced in the extension’s “What’s new” panel on the next update. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Algeria, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the competent courts of Algeria, unless required otherwise by your local consumer-protection laws.
